NEW OUTstanding WEBSITE DROPS! AS DOES OUR TWITTER AND FACEBOOK COMMUNICATION!

Welcome to OUTstanding!

“Wait, what is OUTstanding?” you say.  Well, OUTstanding is an annual, public and free seminar for ALL University of Tennessee Knoxville students, faculty, staff and the surrounding community.  But of course, it’s also for all identities and backgrounds including lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, and queer (LGBTIQ) and ally-identified college students and community members.  It’s a space for the celebration of LGBTIQ and multicultural visibility, intersectionality, and coalition building around LGBTIQ issues on our campus and in our community and campuses and communities nationwide.

OUTstanding is a seminar exploring LGBTIQ diversity.  OUTstanding is The University of Tennessee Knoxville, with their commitment to diversity and civility.  OUTstanding is Saturday, October 22nd 2011.  Our university and community is OUTstanding.  Our history of standing up and speaking out for equality is OUTstanding.  You are OUTstanding!

Want more info? Who, what, where, when, why?  Check this: OUTstanding: A Seminar Exploring LGBTIQ Diversity.

So, our website is up, check.  We have funding secured, check.  What now?  Oh, yeah, we need your help and participation!  Get connected and help get the word out via our facebook and Twitter.

As all organizers, planners, and labor-of-lovers know, a conference needs creative and thought-provoking presentations.  So we need YOUR help in submitting proposals and getting the word out about OUTstanding.  Please share our Call for Proposals with the world!

Please check back for more updates and information about presenters, keynote speakers, and rumors of an amazing after-party!
